A Thousand Eyes: Jason Borders

"I have a simple format for the way I work that allows me to turn off most of my cognitive function and tap into the subconscious. I don’t plan my designs but rather let them grow organically, creating forms, creatures, characters based on the outlines of the ones preceding them. Sometimes I’ll intentionally utilize certain symbolic characters or themes, but usually I just let my hands do the thinking and interpret the symbolism afterward. I’ve always felt that the subconscious has better ideas and direction than I do. This and my use of basic art elements (line, rhythm, repetition) help me to work toward creating something timeless and universal.
I am a Kentucky native, and graduated from Columbus College of Art and design in 2009. I relocated to rural WA from Portland, OR where I live with my son Jonah, wife Elizabeth, dog Rez, cat Molino, and goats on our hobby farm." Jason Borders

all pskaufman… sizing is based on the average foot: average width, average instep and average toe length. fit can also vary depending on the shape of the shoe, heel height and leather.  for any further questions regarding fit, please write paul@pskaufman.com
